In the near future, Virtual Reality Gaming will surpass all other major league sports in worldwide popularity. Driven by cutting edge technology, Virtual Worlds aren’t just created visually but now use all the senses to create a completely immersive experience. And the best players don’t just watch and manipulate a few hand controls. They are athletes whose bodies are projected into fantastical worlds where they compete using their physical and mental skills.

You are a young man with dreams of becoming a professional gamer in this trillion-dollar industry. After having made your reputation on the amateur circuit, you’ve just been accepted into the training program for the professional teams. Officially called Virtual Reality University, it is commonly known by its nickname, ViRility.

But a trillion-dollar industry attracts a wide range of characters: gorgeous athletes, brilliant strategists, jealous schemers, and organized criminals – sometimes wrapped up in the same person. You’ll have to negotiate this minefield of relationships, ethical choices, and danger while training to become the next gaming celebrity.

And having a lot of sex!

EPISODE 5 IS NOW AVAILABLE

Episodes 5 is complete and is the biggest episode by far. It was first available as an early release to Patreon subscribers, and it’s now available here on ITCH.IO as a single file along with Episodes 1 through 4. And with this release, a Mac version is available along with the PC release.

There's a lot going on in this episode: the MC discovers a disturbing part of being under the Conclave's influence and finds out more about their influence in the lives of his friends; Mia blunders into a discovery, and Emily is confronted with some hard truths; Aurora gets a chance to work with her new team and gets an offer that's hard to refuse; Leah is just trying to figure out what's going on; Analise and Samantha are facing some old feelings; and Calista... well, just wait.

This episode alone has 1,026 static images and 77 animated clips combined into 33 animations. Combined, this complete release has over 4000 images and 150 animated clips.

The first episode introduces Virtual Reality University, known as ViRility, including the first set of main characters. Are they friends, lovers, rivals, or mentors? Or are they combinations of all four? And how will they change with time?

In the second episode you start classes, meet a few more characters, fall a bit deeper into the hidden conspiracy, and face repercussions from the actions you've taken. You also get some news that may change your priorities.

Episode 3 gives you more control over which love interests you follow. And, of course, a potential new one is introduced in this episode. These choices will impact your story going forward.

 Episode 4 is a bit darker with the characters facing some some difficult truths as well as the repercussions from previous decisions. 

VStoryTeller

I'm a professional storyteller and software engineer and have been dabbling in comics, animation and video production for many (many!) years. More recently, I've been dabbling in 3D modeling and special effects. When I discovered Visual Novels, I realized that this platform would exercise all of those skills.

 

Plans

ViRility is intended to be a serialized story. I have both long range and short-term plots with many overlapping storylines planned out. Characters will come and go over time, but you, the main character, will be the one constant. Your character will grow and change, and your choices will impact the ongoing story.
